This is the peak month for planting bedding in particular, but after the awful wet spring weather, everyone is out enjoying the warm, dry (hurray!) days. Whilst plants are growing quickly in these perfect conditions, they have a lot of catching up to do. We as gardeners also have a lot to do to keep on top of all the jobs to do in the garden! Here’s the lowdown on what we have in store.

Finding the right perennial plants for your garden has just become a whole load easier thanks to our clever filters! Eventually we will roll this feature out to all of our plants categories, so watch this space!

Lavender grows best and produces lots of scented flowers in a sunny site with well-drained soil. English lavender is the hardiest (Lavandula angustifolia and cultivars such as ‘Hidcote’). French lavender is less hardy but has “bunny ears” flowers and flowers all summer long – ideal for growing in containers.

Join us for our very popular handtied bouquet workshop. The bespoke team of florists will guide you step by step on how to create a stunning bouquet of your own using seasonal flowers and foliage.

We’ve put together a selection of our favourite houseplants which are known for their air purifying qualities (*as researched by NASA in 1989) – plus they’re all easy to grow! One houseplant per 10 square metres is enough to help clean the air so a few plants in an average-sized room will help make a difference!
