Striking, deciduous perennial (herbaceous) has big, dome-centred daisy purple flowers for weeks in Summer and Autumn. It has green leaves.
It likes sun, moist or well drained soil and is happy in acid (ericaceous), alkaline or neutral soil. It is frost hardy.
