Product Details

MO Bacter slow release organic fertiliser from Viano of Belgium is a granular organic fertiliser which rids your lawn of moss, feeds grass and improves the soil all in one. Not only that, but scarifying after you have treated your grass with MO Bacter will not be necessary and it will not burn plants in your borders if you should spread it beyond your lawn.

One of the major benefits is it destroys moss without leaving any of the unsightly black debris. The dead moss is actually digested by the bacteria (npk: 5-5-20) leaving your lawn looking healthier.

Also, have you ever been annoyed at the stain on your patio or driveway after treating your lawn with normal fertiliser? You now have no need to worry as MO Bacter Organic Fertiliser does not stain stonework, patios or paths - a massive bonus!

MO Bacter Organic Fertiliser is a unique moss destroyer as it will not send your moss black and saves you from back breaking work. Lawns are left free of any debris with no need to scarify, it's harmless to animals and wildlife, is completely organic and doesn't damage border plants.

    Q. How much per square meter do I need to use. Can I use it on black moss.

    Answered by Longacres 23/6/2017

To deal with moss it is advised to apply Mo Bacter at a rate of between 100g/m2 or 150g/m2 which will give a coverage of 200m2 and 133m2 respectively for a 20Kg bag.
Mo Bacter will not work with algae but will work with moss.

    Q. I have just bought an Evergreen Easy Spreader + with which to apply MO Bacter. It has a variable spreading rate on the gauge of 1-9 but no guidance on what delivery rate per sq meter the numbers correspond to. It will presumably depend on the consistency of the product being spread, but do you know which number I should set for MO Bacter?

    Q. I have moss all over my rose garden. Can MO Bacter be used if I avoid the base of the rose bushes?

    Answered by Longacres 18/5/2018

Hello, we would not recommend using this. We would suggest a lawn product to get rid of the moss instead

    AC Surrey
    Q. I bought some of this from you early this year and used one bag at the time, but would like to re-apply as that was over 3 months ago. Please could you advise whether this product will work effectively during the current period of drought and if so, how frequently I would need to water the lawns for it to remain active?

    Answered by Longacres 11/7/2018

Mo Bacter needs to be applied every 3-4 weeks. We would not recommend doing this is in hot weather unless the Mo Bacter is heavily watered in.

    Roger
    Q. Is it safe to use Mo Bacter Moss Remover in this hot weather? - Thank you. Roger Draycott

    Answered by Longacres 11/7/2018

We would not recommend using this as it would scorch the lawn.

    Maria
    Q. You say it should be applied every 3-4 weeks but the product works for 3 months, I get a lot off moss in my garden over winter and if I apply the product between March and September as suggested does that mean I can’t use it between September and March when the moss is at its worst.

    Answered by Longacres 2/8/2018

Viano MO Bacter is less effective in cold weather, which is why we recommended use between March - September.

    Stuart Thornton
    Q. Dose Mo Bacter help prevent weeds or dose it help feed weeds

    Answered by Longacres 8/9/2018

As this is a fertiliser it will not effect the weeds.

    Q. We have been using mob acted for a few years but noticed that out naturalised snowdrop bulbs planted in the lawn are disappearing. We have just planted 500 new daffodil bulbs in the lawn do you think we should still use mobacter .

    Answered by Longacres 29/1/2019

Mobacter is in fact a fertiliser and moss-killer so should help the bulbs and not in fact do them harm.

    Q. I have ground dwelling bees in my lawn, will they be harmed by this product?

    Answered by Longacres 29/1/2019

I have spoken with chemicals and believe this won't harm the ground bees due to the size of the pellets and the fact the product is biodegradable.
