Good Morning,
The opening in the Smart Garden Easter Island Planter is 14cm x 15cm and the inside is completely hollow with a drainage hole at the bottom. The largest pot that will fit in the top is a 2L pot, and if you press the sides in it has a very snug fit with only a millimetre or two of the pot showing above the Easter Island. You could also opt for a smaller sized plant pot and use stones in the base to lift the pot up to the top of the planter. As it has a drainage hole, it is suitable to pot a plant straight into the planter without the use of a nursery pot too, but we would recommend adding a layer of stones at the base to aid in drainage.
