Product Details
Striking, large blue blooms with white and yellow centres, elegant climbing plant will cover garden walls, trellis and vertical structures. Perfect pollinators approved, half-hardy annual prefers sunny, sheltered areas to attract butterflies and bees all summer long.
For best results, soak seeds overnight to activate and sow outdoors where they are to flower from April until May. Opt for a sunny, sheltered position against a wall or climbing structure. Sow seeds thinly approximately 1cm deep, seedlings can be spaced out to 30cm when large enough to handle. Provide supports for young plants to climb into position. Plants will bloom from July to October in the first year and from June in the following years. Alternatively, seeds can be sown under cloches throughout winter for early summer flowers.
Soak seeds for 24 hrs. before sowing, this will help seeds to germinate faster.
Once the plants have established, remove spent flower heads to promote further flowers throughout the season.
To create a tall container display, use canes and twine to build a frame and then train your plants onto the structure.
