Product Details

Strulch ® is a light and easy to use garden mulch made from wheat straw for organic gardening. A patented process is used to ‘preserve’ the straw so that it lasts for up to two years and gives an earthy brown colour.

Strulch has a neutral pH and can be used throughout the garden on borders, raised beds, around cultivated fruit and on vegetable plots.

From their own site, the makers say "Strulch is made from renewable and local resources which do not harm the environment and Strulch is verified for use in organic growing systems."

The Strulch Organic Wheat Straw Mulch is already deteriorating as it is dead and decomposing. Use ASAP for best results.

Q. I read that I should wear gloves when spreading the Strultch. Does that mean that it would be harmful or an irritant to my cat who would walk on it?

As this is an organic product it will cause no harm to pets walking on this.

Q. I have a rescue dog who tends to eat anything. If he ate this would it be harmful to him please?

Strulch is chemical free and wildlife/pet friendly, but please be aware that wheat straw is only digestible by ruminants. As with grass, any other animal eating the mulch will be liable to be sick.
