Dense, evergreen herbaceous perennial has small spikes of scented white flowers in Spring. It has green whorled foliage rosettes.
It likes part shade or light shade, moist or well drained soil and is happy in acid (ericaceous), alkaline or neutral soil. It is frost hardy.
