A strong-growing vigorous climber, which produces flowers of pale and deeper lilac densley borne on racemes of 30cm long in May - June.
It likes sun, part shade and moist but well drained soil and and is happy in acid (ericaceous), alkaline or neutral soil. It is frost hardy.
