Common name: Mahonia

Large, picturesque, evergreen shrub has clustered scented yellow flowers for weeks in Winter. It has green huge, whorled and spiky leaves.

It likes part shade, moist or well drained soil and is happy in acid (ericaceous), alkaline or neutral soil. It is frost hardy.
